Saudi Council of Engineers

Renewal of professional accreditation (engineer-architect-technical engineer)

The Professional Accreditation Renewal service is a central electronic service provided by the Saudi Council of Engineers allowing engineers, architects, and technical engineers to update and renew their professional accreditation periodically to continue practicing under approved legal standards and regulations. The service enables beneficiaries to submit renewal requests online through the council’s platform without the need to visit council offices, streamlining the process and saving time and effort.

The renewal system is based on fulfilling several conditions, including an active membership, achieving a specified number of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points during the previous accreditation period according to the professional grade (e.g., 60 points for Associate, 40 for Professional, and 30 for Consultant stages). Renewal also involves payment of fees and completion of required professional exams for those who have not passed them previously. The council reviews applications to ensure requirements have been met, then issues updated accreditation certificates confirming continued accreditation and active membership.

The online platform offers precise application tracking and options for electronic certificate receipt, in-person collection, or postal delivery for a fee. The renewal process also updates personal and professional data to maintain accurate council records.
