Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA)
Continuous Professional Education Program
The Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Program is an ongoing initiative by the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants, designed to continually update and enhance the professional and technical skills of accountants, auditors, and zakat and tax service providers. The program aims to ensure members keep pace with evolving standards and regulations, maintaining the highest levels of competence and reliability in their professional services.
CPE comprises a broad range of approved educational activities including training workshops, seminars, conferences, lectures, and scholarly research related to accounting and auditing fields. Members earn credit points for each hour of learning or educational participation and are required to accumulate a minimum number of points periodically to sustain membership validity and professional accreditation. The program also accommodates informal learning methods, such as self-study, video learning, and interactive activities acknowledged by the council.
To facilitate members, SOCPA provides an electronic tracking system for registration, monitoring progress, and uploading supporting documentation. The program includes continuous oversight to ensure member compliance, with penalties applied for non-compliance.
