Postponing The Fellowship Exam

The Deferred Exam service for Fellowship subjects is an electronic service offered by the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants, enabling candidates registered for the professional fellowship exams in various subjects such as accounting, auditing, zakat, and taxation to request postponement of a specific exam to future sessions without losing their chance to complete it. This service aims to provide candidates with flexibility to better prepare and increase their chances of success under established regulatory conditions.

Deferral requests must be submitted at least two weeks before the scheduled exam date through the official electronic portal. Candidates may defer a subject exam for up to two consecutive sessions. Failure to register in the subsequent exam session results in the candidate being marked as absent for that subject and subject to applicable regulations. There are no fees associated with deferral requests, which are processed within ten working days from the end of the exam registration period. Applicants can monitor their requests and escalate issues via email if necessary.

Examinations are held three times yearly in key cities including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Makkah, and Madinah. Candidates must adhere to exam schedules and pass with at least 60% in both multiple-choice and essay questions. Successful candidates receive a fellowship certificate enabling them to practice accounting and auditing legally and professionally in the Kingdom.
